tap your mind.
trace Scripture verses that give you
courage to move forward. to stand.
with face to the rising Son where all our
help and hope and deliverance comes.

"my eyes are ever toward the Lord, for He
shall pluck my feet out of the net." psalm 25:15

"I have cared for you since you were born.
yes, i carried you before you were born.
I will be your God throughout your lifetime...
until your hair is white with age.
I made you and i will care for you.
I will carry you along and save you."

"trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and
lean not on thine own understanding. in all
thy ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct
thy path." prov. 3:5-6

most of my gray is covered with color.
i run alittle differently on one of my feet.
i have run down a very long road. up and
around and down and under and trudging back
to the surface of genuine deliverance. some-
times i am not running, but merely crawling.

God has been my Lord for all these 66 years.
faithful and loyal and true to me no matter what
anyone else thinks or what i've fallen into.

tuck your favorite Scriptures into the crevices
of your mind. the more you can squeeze in, the
more power you have in your reserve. every
word God speaks is true. His promises rock-solid.
may we discover fresh truths. may His promises
help us to run with fervor and joy. yes! run and feel
the wind at our backs and touch all those who pass
our way. His promises say we can!

  1. That Proverbs verse is one I had to learn toward earning my black belt at the dojo I attend (Christ Centered Martial Arts). It is a favorite of mine.
At almost 51, with several health issues, including one that causes pain, inflammation, fatigue and insomnia, I know how difficult it is to make oneself exercise. And yet, this (Tae Kwon Do) is often where Abba speaks to me the most. He rocks!!

  2. Well about six years ago when I became a grandma, I decided to quit coloring my hair and just see what it looked like. I was prematurely gray and I had colored it for about 20 yrs. Lo and behold it was almost white...and I liked it!! So when I see Bible verses about gray hair or white hair, I have to smile and CLAIM IT!! I have recently started reading the devoional, Jesus Calling. I read it each night before I turn out the light and it is such a blessing. I purchased one today to give away at the MOPS group where I am the grandmother of preschoolers. I remember how hard it was to find time to even locate my Bible when I was a young mom! Thanks for sharing your heart Ann...I appreciate your transparency!
